Whether you’re already a fan or not, you will be soon. The Plastiscines are making big waves for an all girl French band. They have appeared on all sorts of compilations and way-ahead-of-everyone-else type music tours. Their video for ‘Barcelona’ is so sweet you might get a toothache from watching it, and the girls are all barely 21. They are getting another huge break tonight as they will appear on televisions best guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl. Singing sisters Tegan and Sara were on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien earlier this week singing a song called ‘Hell’ from their new album titled ‘Sainthood’ … and what’s that we spy on their feet?  Check out the video below, and give their new record a spin. It’s November! I hate to say it but  being in New York, even thinking about surfing weather makes me extremely jealous right now, but that’s exactly what time it is in Hawaii. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is kicking off this month and I am super excited to see how it all goes down this year. Today is Dia De Los Muertos and I was chatting with my friends this morning who told me about this music video called “Mexico City” by Jolie Holland. It’s a cool video with a lot of scenes for this day. Check it out:

runway hair made real-life easy.

All of the spring fashion shows have now wrapped up and we were left with amazing looks all over the world. I can’t wait until our Spring collection hits stores for you guys. You are going to love it. But amongst all of the clothes, shoes, glitz and glam this season I noticed some trends on the runways that you can apply to your every day life. Easy to do yourself hairstyles. What’s in for Spring? Braids and natural waves are huge. Check out the photos below from some of my fav runway looks that are easy to take straight into your real-life day … and, all of these do’s are quick and easy. At DVF the girl’s hair was put into tiny braids while wet then once it dried they took them out for this fun wavy look. Try a light mousse before you braid for extra waves.

Doesn’t it seem like the year is just flying by? Well I suppose I don’t mind, a new season can only mean one thing right? New clothes! Keren does Film Shorts.

You guys might remember our girl Keren Richter who was the artist behind some rad pieces here at Vans Girls not too long ago, like the Wellesley’s pictured below. I stumbled across this short film from a couple years ago that she did for MTV2… It’s called Reed Disease in the House of 1,000 ex girlfriends.
